Haw Creek Park
Asheville, NC

Working with a site located on an undeveloped site within an existing neighborhood and purchased from CP&L, we designed a new restroom/picnic shelter structure adjacent to a new parking lot and a children's play area and a gazebo strategically sited along the walking trail as a rest/contemplation area.

Designed to relate to the Arts & Crafts vernacular of the surrounding community, the structures include exposed heavy timber construction and the integration of handmade tiles that illustrate native plants and insects.

This City of Asheville project had an extremely limited budget and we successfully designed, bid and managed construction of these facilities within those constraints.
